The Great Northern Storm observed by Cassini over Saturn in 2011. “Great White Spots” as these massive storms are called occur roughly once every Saturnian year, or 30 Earth years. This one formed ten years earlier than expected, giving Cassini the chance to record it. [1015x1015] via /r/spaceporn
